Ana Leonor Pita was born in Galicia, Spain, and moved to Switzerland at a young age. She graduated from art school in Basel and partly in Florence. In her search for new experiences, she discovered painting as a form of expression. She did not know where art would take her, but she was very enthusiastic from the very beginning. Using different colors, shapes, materials, and the interplay between light and darkness, she discovered new places on her journey that she had not previously been aware existed. Through her four children, she found her passion for art, and through her studies in Chinese medicine, she found her connection to nature. Her experiences are expressed in her paintings through the gestures and feelings of people and nature.
