Fascinated by metalworking, Jenny Scheidegger decided to train as a silversmith after completing her training as a craft teacher. She combines the craft of silversmithing with clear design to create unique objects. She is interested in developing hollow forms and experimenting with combinations of materials. Her works range from objects to vessels with a sculptural character. The expression and properties of the metals used always play a decisive role in the design. Even a "chance" material can be decisive for the creation of a series of objects. Jenny Scheidegger lives in Basel and produces her objects in her silversmith's studio in Oberwil.
