The interplay of silver with another material creates a dialogue that focuses on the properties of the materials used. Thus, the shiny meets the rough, the noble meets rust, the white meets the pattern, or silver meets stone. As a silversmith, Jenny Scheidegger's work is based on her experience in metalworking and her interest in developing vessels. The exhibition mainly features vessels consisting of two parts, thus formally addressing the theme of combination. The vessels have a sculptural effect and the hollow space is always present. They are the material and formal condensation of an idea. They are composed in a strict yet playful manner and ultimately appear natural and clear.
